Course Overview

The NAVAid and Flight Inspection Training Course provides pilots, engineers, and operational personnel with comprehensive knowledge and practical skills required to perform and support the inspection and calibration of ground-based and satellite-based navigation aids. The training is fully aligned with international standards defined by ICAO.

Course Content

  • ILS, VOR, DME, NDB – Conventional systems
  • GNSS, SBAS, GBAS – Satellite-based navigation
  • Signal structure, coverage and limitations
  • Flight inspection principles & tolerances
  • ICAO Annex 10 & Doc 8071 framework
  • Onboard measurement systems & software

Practical & Simulator Training

  • Interpretation of inspection data
  • Identification of signal disturbances and interference
  • Scenario-based exercises (e.g. equipment failure, signal distortion)
